Floating shelves created by hand from solid reclaimed barn wood that is truly magnificent.
Floating shelf sizes of 6, 8, 10 or 12 inch depth (face to wall), 2 inch thick solid wood and your choice of ANY length.
Every shelf is lovingly hand made by me, Brian, personally with the strictest attention to detail.
-Solid reclaimed barn wood, milled into these beautiful floating shelves. These boards are exclusively from barns built in the mid to late 1800’s (very occasionally the first decade of the 1900’s, but only if the barn is stunningly beautiful will I buy any building newer than around 1880)
-Works wonderfully as book shelves, upper kitchen open cabinetry, bathroom storage, in closets, laundry rooms, bedrooms and also as floating ‘L’ shaped corner shelves.
-Easy to install via included hardware with a high strength mounting system (40 plus lbs weight capacity per shelf at the very least….often as much as 100lbs per shelf or more…actual weight capacity will depend on your wall type/stud type and of course how large of a shelf you need/desire) Only the very shortest of shelves (smaller in length than 24″ typically) will not span two wall studs and thus these are the shelves that have only around 40lbs of weight capacity. Any shelf that secures to two wall studs or more will have significantly more weight capacity.
-Shipping included via UPS ground with tracking at no cost to you
-Mounts to any flat wall type, in any location along your wall. You choose the location…and our shelves will install right where you want them.
-Shown in 18 colors for your ideal look and to match with your other home items.
-Custom Staining is often possible too!
-Ships in one weeks time or less! If you have a specific timing need, please let me know as I can build at night too if you need.
-Every shelf ships protected by multiple coats of lambs wool applied layers of clear Shellac for a lifetime of protective beauty and function.
I’ve set my goal at producing the floating shelving most loved in all the world….my finest work goes into these shelves, and I hope you adore the craftsmanship and beauty of these functional, expressive works of art!
Many thanks, Brian- owner, designer and builder of BarnwoodDesigns.org
